Community Outreach

As a nonprofit organization, ETC is operated primarily for science, education, service, charitable or similar purposes in the public interest and in support of community needs. We are actively involved in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) initiatives at the High School and Community College levels in southern Maryland and our employees participate in the annual robotics competition, sponsored by the College of Southern Maryland (CSM). For the past three years, ETC has provided scholarship funding for over 50 students pursuing careers in STEM fields. We also have been a long time supporter of the Youth Technology Summit.

ETC is a member of the southern Maryland Nonprofit Institute and the CSM STEM Advisory Board. We are partnered with CSM in exploring innovative ways to incorporate virtual environment modeling and simulation into the classrooms of the 21st century.

The Potomac Workforce Education and Recruitment (PoWER) Center exists to help transition disabled veterans to live and work in the state of Maryland. For more information about the PoWER Center, contact Mr. Gabe Castleberry, the PoWER Center Program Manager at gcastleberry@etcmd.com.
