CARY STALNAKER NAMED BUSINESS MANAGER FOR ENERGETICS TECHNOLOGY CENTER


La Plata, Md., May 7, 2008 – Cary Stalnaker has joined the Energetics Technology Center as Business Manager, where she is responsible for developing and managing the business activities of the Energetics Technology Center, including Contracts, Proposals, Human Resource management, Finance and Administration, Facility Operations, and Marketing and Communication functions.
 
Prior to joining the Energetics Technology Center, Ms. Stalnaker served as the Contracts Manger for J.F. Taylor, Inc. In this capacity, Ms. Stalnaker was responsible for leading a team in the daily contracts functions of awards, modifications, funding data, expense tracking, deliverables tracking, contracts troubleshooting, and customer interaction.

“We are very excited to have Cary join the Energetics Technology Center,” said Bob Kavetsky, Chief Executive Officer for the ETC. “She has extensive experience not only in contracts management, but also in the areas of DoD acquisition processes and procedures. These skills will be critical to our ability to launch an aggressive and robust plan for making Charles County the Energetics Center of the country. ” 

Ms. Stalnaker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Ellis College.

The Energetics Technology Center is private, non-profit enterprise dedicated to growing science and technology in Southern Maryland. The ETC focuses on workforce and economic development in the region and is a catalyst for energetics research and development. The ETC is currently based in La Plata, Maryland.
