COLONEL (RET.) KENNETH MCCREEDY NAMED DIRECTOR OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT FOR ENERGETICS TECHNOLOGY CENTER
La Plata, Md., October 9, 2008 – Colonel Kenneth McCreedy has joined Energetics Technology Center as the Director of Workforce Development. In this capacity, Colonel McCreedy will lead an initiative to revitalize the energetics workforce and make Southern Maryland a national center for energetics technology.
Prior to joining Energetics Technology Center, Colonel McCreedy was the Installation Commander at Fort George G. Meade. Here he commanded and led an installation of over 227,000 people across a five-state area. Under Colonel McCreedy’s command, Fort Meade was twice selected as a finalist in the Army Communities of Excellence award, a worldwide competition based on the Baldridge criteria.

Colonel McCreedy earned his Bachelor of Art degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. He earned both his Master of Art and his Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of California, Berkley. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Intelligence Officer Course (Basic and Advanced) and is an Honor Graduate of the Post-Graduate Intelligence Program at the Defense Intelligence College in Washington, D. C.
Energetics Technology Center is a private, non-profit enterprise dedicated to growing science and technology in Southern Maryland. It focuses on workforce and economic development in the region and is a catalyst for energetics research and development. Energetics Technology Center is currently based in La Plata, Maryland.
