CHARLES FUNKHOUSER JOINS ENERGETICS TECHNOLOGY CENTER


La Plata, Md., October 1, 2008 – Charles Funkhouser has joined Energetics Technology Center to help execute its Industry and Workforce Development Project.

Prior to joining Energetics Technology Center, Mr. Funkhouser served as Program Manger for EHS Technologies Corporation in Moorestown, New Jersey. In this capacity, Mr. Funkhouser was responsible for overseeing government programs and projects, including estimating costs, monitoring budgets and serving as the primary liaison to multiple NAVSEA Philadelphia and NAVSEA Indian Head clients.

“The Energetics Technology Center continues to grow and I am pleased to welcome Chuck to the team,” said Bob Kavetsky, Chief Executive Officer for Energetics Technology Center. “He has extensive experience in managing Navy projects and working with our partners at Indian Head.
These connections and expertise will greatly enhance our efforts for making Charles County the energetics center of the country. ”

Mr. Funkhouser holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business Management from Prince George’s Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, Maryland.

Energetics Technology Center is a private, non-profit enterprise dedicated to growing science a nd technology in Southern Maryland. It focuses on workforce and economic development in the region and is a catalyst for energetics research and development. Energetics Technology Center is currently based in La Plata, Maryland.
